We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Russell Taylor Group Ltd. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fuel storage and distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance activities and defect rectification to ensure the integrity of our depot systems and components.
- Report site defects immediately to the Depot Engineer and collaborate to resolve issues promptly.
- Complete weekly and monthly maintenance paperwork accurately and on time with the Depot Engineer.
- Prepare work areas for complex maintenance tasks, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Utilize diagnostic techniques to identify faults in depot systems and components, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Develop a thorough understanding of technical drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangements.
- Apply knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and Permits to Work to ensure safe task execution.
- Must have completed a recognized Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Familiarity with tanks, pumps, valves, pipework, oil separators, compressors, and/or piping systems.
- Hold a full UK driving license, as occasional travel to other sites or for training may be necessary.
