Security Engineer (DevSecOps Specialist)

Bestman Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to bridge the gap between security and development teams. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration and safeguarding critical systems, networks, and applications from the latest cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security into every stage of the process.
  • Lead security initiatives, including defining security requirements, threat modeling, and improving application security.
  • Review system designs and development pipelines to identify potential risks early and enable teams to adopt secure practices.
  • Use a risk-based approach to security, balancing innovative development with secure, resilient systems.
  • Engage in penetration testing, purple teaming, and other assurance activities to identify vulnerabilities and bolster defenses.
  • Build security roadmaps, engage with stakeholders, and advocate for the highest security standards across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on work with customer-facing systems, web technologies, payment platforms, REST APIs, microservices, and modern application development.
  • In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and various architecture patterns.
  • Security expertise, including deep understanding of network, software, and infrastructure security, especially application security and DevSecOps (shift-left culture).
  • Azure or AWS cloud security certifications are preferred.
  • Passionate about staying ahead of security trends and driving innovative solutions in fast-paced environments.
