Job Title: Server / Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Server / Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. As a key member of our Classified Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the overall performance and availability of classified networks and other hosted systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and support hardware, including servers, networking equipment, PCs, thin clients, printers, and telephones.
  • Install and support software, encompassing both server and desktop applications.
  • Offer support for Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, SharePoint, and Citrix platforms.
  • Provide support for Linux OS, covering variants of Redhat and Debian.
  • Offer network support for Cisco environments.
  • Execute routine operations schedules for servers, server applications, databases, systems, and network elements using established and repeatable procedures following corporate standards and requirements.

Requirements:

  • CCNA / CCDA.
  • VCP
  • 3-5 years' experience of working in a busy IT Department, or other relevant work experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced installation, configuration and support of the following:
  • Linux OS, platforms including variants of Redhat and Debian.
  • Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 & 2019.
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016 & 2019.
  • SQL Server 2016, 2017.
  • Windows Desktop.
  • Networking & Security – TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall Install, Configure & Support.
