Responsibilities:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is a seasoned professional reporting to the Maintenance and Repair Lead, tasked with ensuring that Dalkia's Project team at HPC adheres to both Client and Dalkia's operational standards. This role involves effectively managing the team during the post-construction phase, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and timely execution of project requirements. Key responsibilities include: Design, Engineering, and Procurement: Analyze project drawings and specifications to grasp technical, administrative, and contractual obligations. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure clarity on the scope of work. Participate in meetings to facilitate a smooth transition of the project to the maintenance team. Develop and oversee risk assessments and method statements, promoting best practices. Assist in managing site resources to optimize efficiency and minimize waste. Construction: Oversee health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring adherence to the HSE plan and compliance with all regulatory and internal standards. Maintain a safe, organized, and secure work environment, enhancing the project's and company's reputation. Supervise quality and productivity metrics with site teams and collaborate with Project Managers to meet care and maintenance milestones. Implement and maintain an asset management system to address all maintenance needs and legal requirements. Optimize the use of personnel, leveraging their skills and providing growth opportunities. Assess labor requirements and prepare forecasts and reports for the contract duration, ensuring accurate timesheet processing. Ensure operatives are informed of project specifications and performance expectations, with regular reviews in place. Support compliance with the Site Establishment Schedule, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and maintenance aligns with project specifications and legal standards. Collaborate with the Engineering/Commercial Team to identify variations, assist with payment applications, and address any disruptions affecting progress. Take the initiative in leading regular review meetings with the Client/Project Team to ensure alignment with requirements and maintain updated records. Commissioning: Coordinate maintenance schedules with commissioning teams to prevent conflicts. Establish a defect management system to log all equipment failures and defects. Close Out: Oversee the proper removal of equipment and assist the Project Team with final documentation and handover processes. Additional Responsibilities: Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the Engineering Team's growth and effectiveness. Adhere to company policies and procedures, prioritizing health, safety, and welfare.Key Deliverables:
Lead a project maintenance and repair team in addressing complex construction and logistical challenges through systematic planning and organized maintenance strategies. Comprehend all aspects of the site services project at HPC, ensuring the team adheres to established plans and functions effectively. Collaborate with the site project team and participate in planning meetings at various intervals. Provide support to Engineers and Supervisors. Work closely with the project procurement lead. Contribute to project team reviews and discussions to establish and uphold project objectives and performance standards. Assist in implementing performance monitoring and reporting, including preparing monthly dashboards with real-time KPIs. Support resource forecasting based on skill levels to facilitate the onboarding of necessary workforce operatives. Coordinate with the broader Dalkia Engineering labor manager to manage workforce fluctuations.Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Construction qualification through a craft or engineering apprenticeship, with relevant experience equivalent to Level 2 ONC or ideally Level 3 HNC in building services or engineering, or facilities management. Level 3 NVQ in Construction Site Supervision. Relevant health and safety certification. First line management qualification. 5 GCSEs (A – C Grade) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent). Proficiency in MS 365. CSCS Card Engineer Skill card or JIB/ECS (Black). Valid driving license.Additional Qualifications/Experience:
Proven experience in large-scale projects within the nuclear or similarly regulated sectors, including major EPC projects. Demonstrated ability in delivering care and maintenance at a functional management level. BEng/MEng degree. CIOB or CIBSE status (or working towards it). Familiarity with MS Project or Asta Power Project. Level 3 HNC in Facilities or Care & Maintenance Site Management. Level 4 HND/BEng in Facilities Management. Level 5 in Construction Contracting Facilities Management. Understanding of Nuclear Site License Conditions. An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.Working Pattern and Location:
