Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team on a part-time basis, working 32 hours weekly. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently by assisting with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a smooth workflow in preparation areas.
- Assist in the production of high-quality dishes.
- Contribute to the development of menu ideas.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards in all kitchen operations.
- Carefully handle and store all kitchenware, including crockery and cutlery.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the head chef.
- Keep storerooms well-stocked and organized at all times.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role.
