Job Summary

RGH-Global Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Property Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing property development and housing services within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage property development and housing services to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with legislative and contractual standards.
  • Oversee housing services provided within the group, including housing management, tenancies, rental income, repairs, and planned maintenance.
  • Provide best value for housing services through effective management and negotiation of housing agreements.
  • Deputise for the Group Director of Property and Housing in their absence.
  • Membership of the Strategic Support Team, overseeing and facilitating delivery of the Operational Plan.
  • Identify and source new properties to support the organization's strategy.
  • Establish positive and productive relationships with property partners.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage property agreements, including leases and management agreements.
  • Oversee assessment of property costs for annual budget and rent setting processes.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of Housing Services against the Operational Plan.
  • Ensure that buildings are compliant with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree preferable.
  • Level 5 Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or equivalent.
  • Membership of CIH/equivalent professional body desirable.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a care/housing organization.
  • Minimum two years' experience operating as a senior manager providing supported living services.
  • Excellent knowledge of Housing Management & Development and ability to put knowledge into practice in an operational context.
  • Experience in undertaking property audits and inspections.
  • Detailed knowledge of Housing management systems.
  • Experience dealing with enforcement officials.
  • Experience in rent setting policy and process across a multi-site organization.
  • Experience of Housing and Property Development and including an understanding of the requirements of people with learning disabilities and autism in relation to property design and configuration.
  • Experience of developing successful partnership agreements/leases with property partners.
  • Experience of working with local authorities/NHS/CQC in property development, and understanding of their requirements.
