Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements through project-based activities, and ensuring product and process quality meets specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement production processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
- Lead project-based activities to introduce new products and manufacturing cell designs, reducing waste, improving quality, and safety, and reducing operating costs
- Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs, generating production documentation, including PFMEA, CP, and process instructions
- Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required
- Develop and implement process improvements, including FMEA, Kaizen/A3, and Poka Yoke techniques
Requirements:
- Experience in aluminium brazing techniques (CAB and Vacuum) and materials, including metal and fluxes (nocolok) (5 years+ experience preferred)
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to present data effectively
- Metallurgy or metallurgical experience
- Proven project management skills
Education:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, A Levels, ONC, City & Guilds level 3, BTEC National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma, or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification
