Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveying Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and experience working in a QS role for a consultancy or contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measuring and Estimating
    • Conduct site measurements and prepare accurate estimates for construction projects.
  • Cost Reporting and Contract Management
    • Prepare and submit cost reports to clients and stakeholders.
    • Manage contracts from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Tendering and Risk Management
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders for construction projects.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with construction projects.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and progress.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Quantity Surveying or related degree.
    • Experience working in a QS role for a consultancy or contractor.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent Excel skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
