A reputable SEND institution is seeking a qualified SEND Educator to contribute to their mission of supporting children with additional learning requirements.

As a SEND Educator, you will be responsible for instructing a class of children with diverse needs, including sensory impairments. It is essential to adapt your teaching strategies and the existing curriculum to accommodate each child's unique requirements, which may involve utilizing communication methods such as sign language or Makaton.


Your role will also involve inspiring and guiding students to achieve their academic goals, along with planning engaging lessons tailored to their needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children and young individuals.
  • Familiarity with communication aids such as British Sign Language, Makaton, or PECS is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • A compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor when supporting children requiring specialized assistance.
