About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our team at the Caledonian Canal Centre in Fort Augustus. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the daily running of the kitchen, food preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage offer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, ensuring that all food is presented attractively and served to our customers in a timely manner.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with the Sous Chef and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a positive customer experience.
  • Menu Planning and Management: Assist with menu planning and management, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food purchases and storage, ensuring that all ingredients are stored and used efficiently.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or above in Catering.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.
