Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Brothers of Charity Services England. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with autism, communication and learning difficulties, high levels of anxiety, sensory processing issues, and those who may need positive behaviour support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and care to individuals with autism and learning disabilities in a community outreach setting.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to ensure a consistent, safe, and appropriate level of care is provided.
  • Forge meaningful relationships with service users and support them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist with domestic tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting or caring for others, either in a personal or work environment, is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly across the organisation, as required.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with autism and learning disabilities.
