Cybersecurity Expert

KHIPU Networks Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our team as a Senior SOC Analyst. As a key member of our 24x7 SOC team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the growth and development of our Cybersecurity Services Team.

1. Act as 2IC for the SOC Team Lead and be an escalation point
2. Mentor and coach junior analysts
3. Develop new services and service improvements via project work
4. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the SOC team and use cases for monitoring and handling different types of security events
5. Threat intelligence gathering to ensure detection methods are effective against current threats
6. Monitor alert queues, respond to security alerts and incidents
7. Manage vulnerability management process and ensure vulnerabilities are remediated within SLA
8. Manage and configure security toolsets to ensure optimal use and coverage
9. Manage cybersecurity incidents through to resolution
10. Work with internal and external partners to investigate, remediate, and clean up after security incidents
11. Prepare detailed intelligence reports, providing information on findings, status and progress of investigations, as well as vulnerability and risk factors

1. Experience of working in a SOC / CSIRT or equivalent
2. Thorough OS knowledge across Windows and Linux
3. Advanced networking experience
4. Incident Management and escalation process
5. Experience implementing leading best practice procedures
6. Experience of working as part of a global team, both internally and via 3rd parties
7. Understanding of malware capabilities, attack vectors, propagation and impact
8. Preferred technology experience: XDR/EDR, Automation, SIEM, IDS/IPS
9. Good understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001
10. Knowledge of system administration, scripting and operating system hardening techniques
11. Ability to assess cyber risks and develop effective mitigation plans
