As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for efficiently processing and fulfilling customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Pick products from designated locations, securely pack them, and prepare for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and internal systems.
- Inspect products for defects, report issues, and ensure only high-quality items are dispatched.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Keep the warehouse organized and optimize space utilization.
- Operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Foster collaboration within the team to achieve collective goals.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
- Basic computer skills to work with warehouse management systems and inventory databases.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Forklift certification is an advantage but can be acquired on the job for suitable candidates.
Salary and Benefits:
- Adecco UK offers a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £30,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
