Job Title: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant at CNTW

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop effective treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health issues
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical and non-medical professionals, to provide shared decision-making and clinical leadership
  • Work closely with partner agencies to ensure seamless care and management of referrals
  • Engage in clinical administration, report writing, and professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Specialist Register inclusion or CCT within 6 months
  • Approved Clinician Status

Desirable Qualifications:

  • MRCPsych
  • Qualification in medical education

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Knowledge in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Awareness of mental health service issues and national strategic directions

Fitness to Practice:

  • Good standing with GMC regarding practice conditions
