Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Mechanical Pipe Fitter to join a dynamic team at a people-focused business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a great working environment and enjoy career progression opportunities.

The Mechanical Pipe Fitter will be responsible for performing planned and unplanned mechanical engineering activities to ensure the efficient running of the contract and supporting client sites. The role will involve working with the Maintenance Works Supervisor to perform planned and unplanned mechanical/maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures.

Duties:
  1. Ensure all Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance is completed to schedule, with appropriate documentation submitted in a timely fashion.
  2. Perform rectification of defects, ensuring all safety and performance standards are met in accordance with the contract.
  3. Carry out routine maintenance work associated with all pressure and mechanical systems.
  4. Assist specialist contractors and ensure all certifications/documentation is completed in accordance with the client and company requirements.
  5. Liaise with and respond to the Helpdesk, ensuring urgent maintenance tasks are responded to within appropriate timescales.
  6. Experience and knowledge in industrial pipe fitting, including pipe threading, pipe bending, copper jointing, press fit, and flange work.
  7. Experience of mechanical planned & breakdown maintenance, fault finding & diagnosis on plant and equipment.
  8. Good all-round knowledge of facilities management and building services engineering.
  9. The ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety, and operational performance.
  10. Able to demonstrate a successful track record in the field of assurance/health and safety.
  11. Willingness to train, update, and improve themselves for the benefit of the contract.
  12. Ability to think and react to immediate problems and issues without losing sight of or compromising long-term goals.
  13. Medically & psychologically fit for working at heights, confined space work, wearing various types of PPE including respirators and face masks.
