The John Radcliffe & Churchill Pharmacy departments are seeking dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technicians to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who aspire to gain valuable hospital experience, working in both dispensary and ward settings.
As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in supporting both Dispensary and Clinical services, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive support to the dispensary team, including coordinating activities, assisting Senior Technicians, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Contribute to the training and onboarding of new pharmacy staff members, apprentices, trainee technicians, and pharmacists.
- Perform essential tasks such as labeling, dispensing, checking medications, monitoring workload, and providing patient counseling.
- Collaborate with ward-based teams by assessing patients' own medications, conducting medicines reconciliation, and facilitating one-stop ordering processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries from service users and covering staff and outpatient reception duties.
- Support the efficient management of pharmacy stores by assisting with ward and fluid top-up services, receiving deliveries, and maintaining stock levels.
- Become proficient in utilizing advanced technology, including electronic prescribing systems and robotic dispensing equipment.
