About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Practitioner to join our research team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the research team with screening, receiving consent, and recruiting participants into research studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact directly with patients and their family members in a professional and compassionate manner, providing clear and concise information about clinical trials.
  • Liaise with consultants, other medical staff, and health professionals to ensure the smooth running of trials, utilizing persuasive, motivational, or negotiating skills as needed.
  • Communicate effectively using computer systems within the Trust, including email and Microsoft Teams.
  • Undertake Trust training in clinical skills, such as venepuncture, specimen handling, and patient observations, as required per trial protocol.
  • Assist the Clinical Trials Assistant in maintaining investigator site files, essential documentation, and Case Report Forms to ensure they are always inspection-ready.
  • Undertake informed consent training, supervised practice, and formal assessment of competency, maintaining own competence in receiving consent and retraining as needed.
