Job Title: Cloud Network Engineer

About the Role:

GKN Automotive is a leading provider of driveline technologies for the automotive industry. We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based network solutions using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams and documentation.
  • Configure and deploy virtual networks, VPNs, subnets, and routing tables.
  • Manage and optimize network configurations on cloud platforms.
  • Implement and manage security measures for cloud networks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years designing and managing solutions using cloud platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of services available in public clouds (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) in the areas of Compute, Networking, and Security.
  • Expertise with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security protocols and appliances.
  • Strong experience with cloud-specific security measures and protocols.
  • ITIL Certification (highly desirable).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
