The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of medical equipment to client locations, perform first-line fault diagnosis and repairs, and adhere to specific service level agreements.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting scheduled maintenance, implementing field modifications, and providing customer support for Medstrom products.

All activities will be documented using our job management system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sanitized, ready-to-use equipment to client sites
  • Retrieve equipment post-use and return it for decontamination
  • Perform disinfection, functionality checks, repairs, and electrical safety tests
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, delivery, and collection
  • Manage product inventory and spare parts
  • Execute product modifications as necessary
  • Provide demonstrations and basic training to staff
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment

Work hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Participation in an on-call rota is required after training, covering one weekend in three, with compensatory time off during the week.

About You

To be considered for the Field Service Engineer position, you should possess or be willing to develop the following:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A background in mechanical or electrical fields is preferred, though training will be provided
  • Experience in delivery driving and route planning is advantageous
  • A valid UK driving license is essential
Personal Attributes:
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including email and MS Office
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check

This role involves manual handling, including lifting and transporting Medstrom products.
