Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Legal Counsel to join our small, intimate and knowledgeable Legal Team at Allianz Partners. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the Company's and Group's financial and reputational performance by mitigating risks through ensuring that the UK Service & Insurance business operates in compliance with our Legal & Regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on UK regulatory matters, including ICOBS and IDD, to ensure compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulatory Authority Rulebooks.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with our Legal & Regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in UK regulatory laws and regulations, and provide guidance to the business on compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of our Legal & Regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor/barrister with strong experience in a UK regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ICOBS and IDD relevant to the UK Business, including the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulatory Authority Rulebooks.
  • Experience of Financial Crime, Competition, Anti-Trust, and Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection from a legal perspective.
  • Undergraduate law degree or equivalent.
  • Legal Training, e.g. Legal Practice course.
