We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a special school in Wiltshire. The successful candidate will work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs, providing general classroom support and 1-1 work in a range of subjects and classes.

The ideal candidate will be calm, confident, and able to diffuse tricky situations. Experience working in a special school is desirable, but not essential. We are open to applications from Support Workers with extensive ASD experience, as well as those with mainstream experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support and 1-1 work with students with ASD and other special needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with the management of challenging behavior and develop strategies to support students
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
