Job Purpose:The Recruitment Lead will support the Head of HR Operations in providing supervision and direction to the Recruitment team, ensuring that the end-to-end recruitment process is optimized and utilizes technology solutions to provide an excellent candidate and manager experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on the operational implementation of the recruitment strategy and plans in line with the People and Cultural Transformation Strategy to develop the Council's brand and attraction strategy.
- Support HR and the wider Council by identifying recruitment issues and developing appropriate interventions and solutions that facilitate effective resourcing solutions.
- Support line managers in developing innovative approaches to recruitment and managing the overall permanent and temporary workforce approaches.
- Ensure that safer recruitment processes are in place and that regular audits are undertaken to ensure a compliant recruitment process and all activities associated with the delivery of the process.
- Represent the council at events promoting the organization and careers, ensuring appropriate set-up arrangements are in place and monitoring their success.
- Work in partnership with the Apprenticeship team to promote new opportunities within the council.
- Review and analyze recruitment activity data, producing reports as required and developing actions to drive forward improvements.
- CIPD Qualified or demonstrable experience within Recruitment and Resourcing.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Equal Opportunities and current employment legislation, its implementation including codes of practice, enabling advice to be given on broad-ranging and complex recruitment issues.
- Occupational Psychology testing qualification (desirable).
- Evidence of continuing professional development, leadership, and personal skills.
