About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PCI Compliance Specialist to join our Data Governance & Information Security team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our PCI team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and build relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collate and review evidence of compliance with the PCI DSS, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Present evidence to and liaise with Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) to ensure seamless compliance assessments.
  • Assist in maintaining the PCI DSS asset register, compliance dashboard, and assessment calendar to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance metrics and internal/external reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare and present updates to the PCI Steering Group and other governance forums to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage your workload and be self-motivated, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel to different sites to engage with stakeholders and undertake compliance assessments, as required.
  • Provide regular, clear, and timely updates to management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to ensure effective communication and collaboration with SMEs, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to drive compliance and security initiatives.
  • Passion for Information Security and an eye for detail to ensure accurate and timely compliance assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of the PCI DSS, particularly in a retail environment, with a focus on protecting cardholder data.
  • Awareness of core Info Sec controls in a commercial environment, with a focus on risk management and mitigation.
  • Project management and planning techniques and strategies to ensure effective compliance and security initiatives.
  • Ability to think methodically and logically, with strong communication skills to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Certifications such as PCIP, ISA, CompTIA Sec+, or CISSP are desirable but not essential.
