Role Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to collaborate with project managers in executing a Quality Assurance Inspector role for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) initiatives and capital projects associated with housing stock.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of council-designed PPM projects by ensuring that site operations and construction activities adhere to relevant contract specifications, organizational requirements, and all applicable legislation.
  • Engage collaboratively with the council's framework or independently appointed contractors.
  • Work alongside all stakeholders to guarantee the provision of a customer-centric service.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A craft or technical qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ LEVEL 2 or 3, or BTEC/SQA national award.
  • A foundation or honours degree.
  • Membership in the Institute of Clerk of Works.
  • Qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety legislation relevant to the construction sector, including CDM regulations.
  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • A broad understanding of the construction industry, encompassing materials, trades, building methods, and legal requirements.
