About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at TRCGroup. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation, to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the young people.
  • Support Education and Development: Encourage and facilitate educational and recreational activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Establish Positive Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with the young people, their families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Manage Daily Routines: Create and implement daily schedules, ensuring consistency and structure to promote a sense of security and stability.
  • Monitor and Record Progress: Maintain accurate records of the young people's progress, including their achievements, challenges, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the Registered Manager, other support workers, and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold or be willing to work towards QCF Level 3/4 in Children's Health & Social Care.
  • Experience: Have experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
  • Skills: Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
