Role Responsibilities
As a Project Management Consultant, you will engage with clients primarily in the Midlands region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing project plans, including essential documentation and processes
- Managing project scope effectively
- Overseeing project costs, including implementing cost controls throughout the project lifecycle
- Engaging with stakeholders
- Establishing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Reporting on project status, including schedules, costs, and risk assessments to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions
Candidate Profile
As a consultant, you will be proactive, inquisitive, and possess exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. You will be an effective communicator, a collaborative team player, and passionate about continuous improvement. You should demonstrate project management expertise (either directly or through transferable skills) acquired in industry or consulting settings.
- Proficient understanding of project management principles, including planning, cost control, risk management, quality assurance, and resource allocation
- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement combined with commercial insight
- Ability to work alongside clients with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in delivering project status reports to project teams
A relevant qualification such as APM (PMQ, PPQ), PRINCE2, or PMP would be advantageous.
