Healthcare Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Waldron Health Centre New Cross. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of public health, weight management, or obesity, and previous experience working in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the ongoing assessment of children by completing relevant paperwork, recording and reporting clinical and behavioural information to the school nurse for action and planning purposes.
  • Provide health promotion advice and guidance to school children, parents, and teachers.
  • Enable children and parents to make effective use of resources within the service by ensuring they receive up-to-date information and responding constructively to questions.
  • Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and Henry Programme.
  • Be competent in using the School Health computer-based Screener software system for Vision and Audiology screening.
