Audit Senior Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, we are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our dynamic team at IPS Group. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare statutory year-end accounts for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead audit teams in the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits, including managing onsite audit teams when necessary.
  • Prepare draft corporation tax returns, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Action queries raised by accounts and tax managers on draft accounts and tax computations, ensuring prompt resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Finalize accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as required, promoting professional development and growth.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of audit principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in owner-managed small to medium business accounts preparation, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in an Accountancy Practice as an Audit Senior / Auditor, with a strong understanding of audit methodologies and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel, with experience with software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range of £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Annual leave starting at 25 days + bank holidays, with the option to buy additional annual leave.
  • 9-day fortnight, with an extra hour worked for 9 days, resulting in a 10th day off.
