About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and treatments to children and adolescents with mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents referred to CAMHS, using a range of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to child and adolescent mental health.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field of child and adolescent mental health.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, with HCPC registration and experience of working with children and adolescents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions, including CBT and other modalities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a strong commitment to collaborative working.
  • Experience of working in a CAMHS or NHS setting, with a strong understanding of the complexities of child and adolescent mental health.
