Barclay Meade is seeking a highly skilled Export Compliance Officer to join our team in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with all relevant export control regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process UK export licensing applications, including OGELs, OIELs, and SIELs, in a timely manner.
- Monitor changes to embargoed and sanctioned countries and parties, as well as the wider regulatory environment, and understand their impact on our business.
- Provide training to key personnel on import and export controls, including ITAR, to ensure they are fully aware of their responsibilities.
- Work with the business to ensure UK defence requirements and exhibition clearances are in place to meet business needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions on our group Export Control Database.
- Oversee internal policies and procedures relating to import/export compliance, ITAR, EAR, and Dual Use regulations, ensuring business adherence where applicable.
- Lead internal and external compliance audits, working closely with the Export Compliance Manager.
- Support internal and external parties with applications and management of US export authorisations, TAAs, MLAs, and licences.
- Liaise with internal and external customers/agencies to ensure trade compliance and facilitate business objectives.
- Proven experience in a Trade/Export Compliance related role, with a preference for the Aerospace/Defence sector.
- A solid understanding of UK and US export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
