Childcare Practitioner

Dunblane Kids Club is seeking dedicated Childcare Practitioners for our Term Time program. This role involves contributing to a high-quality out-of-school service that adheres to Care Inspectorate Regulations and Guidelines.
Contract Type: Term time (with optional holiday hours available)
Working Hours: 15 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift Details:
- Morning: 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM
- Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification, such as HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent, or SVQ3 in Childcare and Education or Social Services (Children and Young People).
Previous experience in a similar environment is required.
Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid Qualification.
Registration with the SSSC and membership in the PVG Scheme is mandatory.

Main Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and engage in diverse play activities that cater to the needs, interests, and abilities of children and young people.
- Interact directly with individuals and groups of children within the club and during outings.
- Ensure safe transportation of children to and from the program as necessary.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of play equipment and materials after each session.
- Prepare snacks and refreshments in compliance with Health and Hygiene regulations.
- Participate in training sessions as coordinated with the Manager.
- Support the evaluation and monitoring of the play environment.
- Attend staff meetings and consultations as required.
- Assist the Manager and Senior Playworkers when needed.
As a Playworker, your role is pivotal in enriching the play experiences of children and young people. You will ensure that engaging, safe, and enjoyable play opportunities are available to meet the diverse needs of the children.
