About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Rail Delivery Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and owning the architecture for our settlement and apportionment applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document the architecture for the settlement and apportionment applications, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives of our business area.
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure a coherent service is delivered and that the end-to-end solution is appropriately documented.
  • Translate business requirements into technology and solution requirements, ensuring that technology decisions deliver the desired business outcomes.
  • Deliver key solution/application and technical documentation, and manage technical stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Represent the solution architecture on the Enterprise Technical Design Authority.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, plus relevant project and managerial experience.
  • Extensive (at least 5 years) relevant architecture experience.
  • Hands-on/design knowledge of APIs and API gateways.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure, and be able to juggle multiple priorities and deliver successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, including time prioritization and management.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, e.g. AWS and Azure.
  • Experience of leading design in a multi-partner environment.
