Position: Facilities Engineer

Location: St Helens

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee, manage, and sustain plant operations across multiple disciplines to fulfill customer requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints.

- Organize and coordinate maintenance tasks at the primary site and additional locations, ensuring compliance with both company and industry standards.

- Supervise BOC and contracted staff in alignment with Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, actively contributing to site SHEQ objectives.

- Serve as the senior authority on-site during plant emergencies, executing the appropriate Site Emergency Plans.

- Regularly inspect and assess all operational equipment and machinery, diagnosing issues and providing feedback for corrective actions.

- Engage in maintaining the site on-call system.

Qualifications

- Minimum NVQ Level 3; HNC in an engineering discipline (Instrument/Electrical/Mechanical) is preferred.

- Extensive practical experience in a relevant field.

- Strong foundational knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

- In-depth understanding of Permit to Work procedures.

- Familiarity with current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation (NEBOSH certification is advantageous).

- Experience with operating chemical and process plant equipment.

- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service under pressure.
