Job Title: Consultant Geriatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our Department for Medicine of the Elderly (DME) team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our services. You will work closely with our existing team to build on our recent expansion and successes, and help us achieve our goal of providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the expansion of our Parkinson's Disease service
  • Work closely with our existing team to achieve our goals and objectives
  • Participate in teaching and education, including the supervision of junior colleagues
Person Specification
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • MBBS/MBCH and possess MRCP
  • Eligible for entry on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR in Medicine for the Elderly at time of interview
  • Postgraduate thesis
