About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Management Assistant to join our team at Hughenden Gardens Village. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake preventive maintenance duties in resident apartments and communal areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Manage void properties, ensuring water quality checks and general repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with contractors to improve knowledge of systems and ensure they adhere to risk assessments.
  • Record repair requests and defects, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Participate in a rota system for emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
  • Provide a handy-person service for residents, including tasks such as picture hanging and assembling flat-pack furniture.
Requirements
  • A background in facilities management, preferably in a multi-dwelling building.
  • Flexibility to support the scheme during emergency situations and outside of regular working hours, as required.
  • Responsibility for the repairs and maintenance service, working closely with the team onsite.
  • A working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to maintain a system for logging maintenance requests.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, including empathy, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to health and safety, with a working knowledge of COSHH or IOSHH.
