About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Tilia Homes, working within our Eastern region and based at our office in Bedford on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Management Accountant and Accounts Payable team, with a focus on their training, coaching, and development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of all aspects of financial reporting, including delivering month-end, preparing and reviewing journals, reconciliations, flash management accounts, and monthly management accounts with variance analysis for the Region & JV's.
  • Developing and maintaining necessary controls, policies, and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient financial management environment within the Region.
  • Preparing the short-term cash flow forecast for the Region & JV's with variance analysis.
  • Reviewing supplier/subcontractor payment runs and setting up payment files within the bank.
  • Assisting in all statutory deadlines, including managing the year-end audit process and preparation of the JV financial statements.
  • Working alongside the Land, Technical, Commercial, and Sales teams to update appraisals on a monthly basis, providing robust challenge to any material movements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the finance section of the monthly regional & JV board pack.
  • Project work, including enhancing the use of IT systems.
  • Supporting the Finance Director on ad-hoc tasks.
About You

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • A strong academic background.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
