Job Summary

The KYC Quality Control Senior Analyst plays a critical role in the governance of financial crime risk management at ICBC Standard Bank. The team is responsible for conducting comprehensive quality reviews of counterparties and suppliers to ensure adherence to corporate and local regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate customer information and analysis to ensure compliance with internal KYC business rules and procedures.
  • Ensure internal systems are accurate and complete, and that customer activities align with documented relationships.
  • Complete quality control templates and document any issues uncovered during the review process.
  • Liaise with the KYC CV Team to resolve file inconsistencies and housekeeping points.
  • Identify training gaps and work with the Head of Quality Control to initiate relevant training sessions.
  • Ensure client classifications are correct and relevant documentation is on file.
  • Assist with ongoing project work to enhance the effectiveness of the KYC function.

Requirements

  • Investment Banking (Capital Markets) KYC background with significant experience reviewing and documenting client relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of KYC procedures and regulatory best practice (Money Laundering Regulation and JMLSG Guidance).
  • Experience reviewing and documenting customer relationships with evidence of KYC subject matter expertise.
  • Detailed understanding of risk and control processes.
  • Ability to explain KYC requirements and provide clear instructions to others.
  • IT literacy and ability to quickly adapt to new software systems.
