About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Community Therapy Team in Darlington. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work across a range of community areas, including Falls, Rehab beds, Amputees, Stroke, and Neuro, providing specialist assessments and treatment plans to adults referred to the team who present with a range of physical dysfunction and/or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a caseload of complex patients and provide specialist assessments and treatment plans.
  • Work alongside Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Speech and Language Therapists within the community therapy team and other professionals within the wider organisation and partner organisations.
  • Develop skills in holistic assessing beyond the scope of traditional Physiotherapy practice.
  • Develop your supervisory, leadership, and service development skills.
  • Support junior and assistant staff and help with their development.
  • Lead and participate in peer support and in-service training.

Requirements
  • BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of CPD, including attendance at recent post-graduate courses relevant to the clinical fields in the specialism.
  • Comprehensive and relevant qualified experience in physical rehabilitation, including recent general rehabilitation experience.
  • Experience of collaborative working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel and carry small items of equipment on a daily basis to fulfil the requirements of the post.
