About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance and repair services to electrical systems, including low-voltage systems, switch rooms, and emergency generators.
  • Inspect and test electrical equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with Trust procedures and schedules.
  • Respond to emergency situations and assist with evacuations and other critical tasks as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as an HNC or ONC, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Be qualified to City and Guilds standards and have a good understanding of electrical safety codes and regulations.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, cramped conditions, and high-temperature environments.
