GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Professional to join our team as a Teaching Assistant - Secondary. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with teachers, assist in creating syllabuses, and support students in a classroom setting, especially those with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons that inspire students to excel.
- Provide tailored support to students, especially those with special needs, through one-on-one and small group sessions.
- Guide and mentor students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, helping them achieve academic success and personal growth.
- Be a positive influence in the classroom by assisting in behaviour management and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development by helping to design and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assist in practical lessons and extracurricular activities, enriching the educational experience for all students.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is required preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is desirable but not mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant - Secondary is desirable.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
- Passion for supporting students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of UK school systems and curriculum.
