Role Overview:

As a Senior Engineer – Product Packaging, you will play a crucial role in developing technical packaging specifications and leading initiatives aimed at optimizing packaging design. Your expertise in the packaging domain, gained through advanced education and professional experience, will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and enhance packaging solutions to comply with international standards, focusing on environmental sustainability, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Packaging and Labelling Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of packaging objectives.
  • Independently manage packaging tasks and processes within broader business projects, including the development and presentation of packaging designs to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis of materials to ensure durability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the creation of manufacturing packaging processes that align with production equipment to meet project performance targets.
  • Establish quality assurance and control measures in packaging design, ensuring compliance with relevant technical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide mentorship and training to new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging development within a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG principles, value engineering, and cost initiatives.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time.
  • Excellent communication skills in Technical English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with graphic artwork development and printing techniques.

Working Conditions:

This position is primarily office-based, with potential travel requirements of up to 25%, primarily within Europe.
