Job Overview:
The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Childcare Professional - Level 3. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with children from 3 months to school age in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for and support the children's physical, emotional, and educational needs through play-based learning.
- Provide personal care, including nappy changing, bottle feeding, and potty training, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety.
- Engage in activities that promote learning and development, such as reading, singing, and creative play.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and educational programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other meetings as required.
- Support children with special needs and work closely with the special needs team to ensure their needs are met.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment, including health and safety monitoring and reporting.
Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a clear DBS check.
- Hold GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
- Have a good standard of English spoken and written.
Working Hours:
- First Steps is open from 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday.
- The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
