- To research, develop, and implement quantitative price discovery and trading strategies for an electronic FX market making business, driving business growth and profitability.
- To leverage proprietary data to analyse and improve the quantitative analysis of client flow, ensuring efficient and profitable risk management.
- To manage the trading flow via trading algorithms during Asian trading hours, ensuring compliance with risk profiles and risk limits.
Key Activities:
- Conduct research on new methods for systematically optimising the delivery of pricing and liquidity to clients, staying up-to-date with the latest market trends and research.
- Develop and implement new market making pricing strategies, leveraging market data from various trading venues and proprietary information.
- Design and backtest systematic trading signals using market data and proprietary information, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the IT team to bring new systematic trading strategies to production, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Stay current with the latest research on algorithmic trading, applying knowledge to drive business growth and profitability.
- Manage the global trading books during Asian hours, ensuring compliance with risk profiles and risk limits, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse client patterns and develop strategic proposals to maximise the success of the global franchise, driving business growth and profitability.
- Provide timely and transparent responses to sales and client queries, ensuring excellent customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in applying quantitative techniques to optimise an electronic market making business.
- Strong background in statistics and statistical programming, with a focus on FX markets.
- High competency level in q/kdb+ and Java, with experience in developing and implementing trading algorithms.
- Postgraduate degree in a numerate field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
