Exciting Opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our AfPP accredited perioperative team at KIMS Hospital, Maidstone.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary Theatres team, you will work within scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery to ensure the highest standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.

This role is ideal for a registered Theatre Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) with proven experience working in fast-paced theatre environments, who is patient-oriented with a focus on continuous service development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work primarily as a scrub practitioner, with occasional need to work as an anaesthetic or recovery practitioner.
  • Assess and implement patient care requirements and evaluate outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
  • Ensure patients' comfort, dignity, and privacy are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure practice is within an ethical and legal framework.

Person Specification:

  • Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
  • Have post-registration clinical experience as a Theatre Practitioner / ODP in an acute hospital.
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
