We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Careers. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties.
About the Role:
In this position, you will work with students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for providing individualized support, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Autism, and ADHD in a therapeutic manner.
- Assist students in a range of subjects, including core subjects and vocational areas, as well as life skills and emotional regulation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized learning plans and behavior support strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
