Position Overview

At Prospero Teaching, we are seeking experienced tutors who have a background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one environment. We aim to find a motivating and engaging educator to assist those whose educational requirements may differ from traditional schooling.


The ideal candidate will possess qualities such as patience and empathy, along with the ability to develop and implement tailored learning plans for individual students. A therapeutic approach may be beneficial to assist those with SEN. Our goal is to provide structure in the daily routines of these learners while fostering their educational growth in various forms.


As the tuition will serve as a substitute for conventional schooling, it typically occurs part-time during standard school hours, five days a week. Prospero Teaching will collaborate closely with you to track the progress of each student by requesting weekly updates.


Role Details:


- Location: Hartlepool and nearby regions
- Position: SEN Tutor
- Competitive pay: GBP25 - GBP30 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- Flexible scheduling options to accommodate both your needs and those of the student


Qualifications:


- Must hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
- Previous classroom teaching experience in the UK is essential
- Creativity, patience, and the ability to think innovatively are crucial
- Experience working with students with SEND or those who are disengaged from traditional education


Requirements:


- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one
- References covering the last two years of employment
