Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced driver to join our Estates and Facilities team as a Casual Hours Minibus Driver. As a driver for Coleg Cambria, you will be responsible for transporting staff, students, and others as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive College vehicles in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Transport staff, students, and others as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.
  • Collect, transport, and deliver items and materials from various locations, using the College van or electric mail van.
  • Conduct regular checks and visual inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and in good condition.
  • Comply with College processes and procedures, including those related to health and safety, security, and data protection.

Requirements

  • A full, clean UK driving licence with D1 is essential for this role.
  • A D1+E drivers licence is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of driving mini buses is required, with the ability to complete MIDAS training.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently using own initiative.
  • Basic IT literacy and willingness to learn to enable communication about driving duties, to enable claims for Pay and Expenses, and to undertake mandatory online training.
