About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our team in a technical analysis role for large complex organization. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure and information governance, with the ability to provide guidance on security strategy and policy to Elected Members, Directors, business directorates, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to identify risks and ensure standards are adopted and adhered to, helping users maintain compliance to security standards.
- Conduct vulnerability management, gain and act on vulnerability intelligence.
- Secure complex information systems by carrying out security risk assessments, business impact analysis, putting in place controls and processes, and gaining accreditation for the system.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and innovations to support the team in delivering a business advantage through technology.
- Monitor and investigate security events, recommending appropriate control improvements to prevent recurrence and restore the appropriate levels of protection.
- Develop information security policy, standards, and guidelines to ensure systems and data are afforded the appropriate levels of protection.
- Perform regular security, risk, and vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis for systems to ensure correct security, continuity, and recovery controls are maintained.
- Ensure working practices are within designated Cyber Security Framework, for example Cyber Essentials & PSN.
- Ensure that suppliers of third-party services meet the risk, compliance, security, and continuity requirements of Lambeth.
Requirements
- An experienced Security Analyst who has operated in a technical analysis role for large complex organization.
- Infrastructure knowledge of configuration and management of Firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems, Internal Vulnerability Scanners, and Intrusion Protection Systems.
- Knowledge of creating new alert rules and logic to detect events of interest in SIEM solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of security and continuity standards including ISO, Cyber Security Essentials Plus, GDPR, and the HMG Security Policy Framework.
- Knowledge of threat intelligence, threat landscaping, and threat prevention.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Hold a recognized security qualification such as CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, CEH, CHFI, ECSA, or equivalent qualification.
