Primary Responsibilities1. Organize and manage the reception, admission, transfer, and nurse-led discharge processes for patients.
2. Evaluate, plan, implement, and assess care programs within the specialized area of practice.
3. Ensure a secure working environment for both patients and staff, maintaining patient dignity to the highest degree.
4. Maintain accurate documentation, including care pathway records and electronic files.
5. Participate in the investigation of incidents and accidents involving patients, visitors, or staff, and adhere to the clinical incident reporting protocol.

Detailed Job Responsibilities1. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues through various channels to ensure seamless service delivery, including complex and sensitive situations involving patients with special needs.
2. Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to share sensitive information regarding patients' medical conditions.
3. Engage in regular staff and unit meetings.
4. Ensure critical information about patients' conditions that may impact nursing care is communicated to the appropriate personnel, acting as a liaison between the unit and other departments.

EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Criteria- Registered Nurse qualification
- Recent experience in an Acute Hospital setting
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively, with proven adherence to detailed procedures and accurate record-keeping
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficient IT capabilities
- Flexibility to work hours as required by service demands, including adaptability to changing service needs
- Proven teamwork skills and effective leadership capabilities
- Teaching/Assessing qualification
- Experience in Endoscopy
- Completion of post-registration Endoscopy-related courses
- Skills in auditing
- Experience in managing sickness/absence
- Proven effectiveness in team collaboration
