About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and friendly individual to join our team as a Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer. As a Befriender, you will play a vital role in providing companionship to someone we support in Guildford, visiting them in their home and engaging in activities they enjoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to our service users
  • Engage in activities such as chatting, reading, and playing games
  • Visit service users in their homes, promoting independence and social interaction
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Be kind, empathetic, and friendly
  • Have a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Be able to deal with confidential information in line with our data protection procedures
